My earlier days I hated pop rock music. My brother got me into Iron Maiden, then Anthrax. My hardcore influence is S.O.D. by far. Anthrax's Scott Ian and Machine Heads Phil Demmel are my idols. I used to play in various bands including Migrane, Ten Second Drop and Demeter.

My earliest influences were Metallica, Anthrax, Iron Maiden, Black Sabbath, Megadeth, Judas Priest, Nuclear Assault, Grim Reaper & Testament. What really made me a metal fan was seeing Pantera live. My favorites today are Machine Head, Cannibal Corpse, Six Feet Under, Madball & Dying Fetus. The only other metal act I was in was Demeter playing guitar. 

 

Robert Smith - Drums

 

I started playing drums at age 13, self taught. My first influence was Kiss. What got me into metal was two albums, Anthrax's Among the Living and Megadeth's Peace Sells. My favorite bands are Judas Priest, Slayer, Biohazard, Slipknot, and Chimaira. My first band I was in was Fatal Charm followed by Plaid, Curious Johnson, Migrane, Monkey Hill, Waiting for Mike, Ten Second Drop, Demeter, Uncle Piggy, Whiskey Inc., Ultrasonic Joyride and Rockbox.

Anthrax got me into metal and Cannibal Corpse got me death metal. Black Sabbath has always been a favorite but my other favs are Cannibal Corpse, Napalm Death, Fleshgod Apocalypse, The Ramones and Minor Threat. I could really go on forever so I'll stop there. The forst band I was in was called X-Rated. Then I joined The End followed by Ossuary. Years past after Ossuary until I joined Praise the Sinner.

Turned on to metal first hearing Metallica's song Whiplash followed by Megadeth's Peace Sells. A fellow student in my metalshop class (no pun intended) noticed my notebook drawings of band logos and asked if I wanted to play guitar like those bands and that he'd teach me for a pack of smokes a lesson. I had no guitar and no interest at first until I saw him play Anthrax, Slayer, etc.  I was in Devience, Mourning Disaster, Apathy, Migrane & Ossuary.  My favorite bands are Chimaira, Queensryche, Megadeth, Anthrax, Upon a Burning Body, Metal Church, Overkill and countless others in that genre.
